Medicines, not to use during animal pregnancy

Pregnant cows/buffaloes should be looked after carefully. Usually, there can be many problems in animals during pregnancy and different types of medicines are used to cure those diseases. But there are some medicines which are harmful for animals during pregnancy and can cause problems. We are sharing some of these medicines, which should not be for pregnant cattle.

  • Aminoglycoside
  • Amphotericin
  • Chloramphenicol
  • Fluoroquinolones
  • Griseofulvin
  • Ketoconazole
  • Metronidazole
  • Nitrofurantoin
  • Sulfonamide
  • Tetraciclina
  • Testosterone
  • Estrogen

In addition, do not give algae infected cereals, fodder, straw and feed to the pregnant cow/buffalo.
