Radish rises very fast; some radish varieties take only 3 weeks to grow. To grow radish in your home garden, you need radish seeds, manure, hoe and water
Method
Soil Preparation: The soil should be loose, free of stones, and water should be well drained and its pH level should be between 5.8 and 6.8.
The right place for planting: The radish should be sown in a place where there is complete sunlight or partial shade. Before planting, add organic manure to the soil.
Weather: Radish is a cold weather crop and it is best to plant them in spring and autumn. Radish will not grow properly in summer season.
Do not sow the radish in hot weather. This means that if the temperature of your area is 15 degrees Celsius or more from a lot of days, then do not sow the radish until the weather gets cold. It takes around 5 days to germinate radish and its crop can be harvested after 3-4 weeks.
Because the radish grows very quickly, so it can be grown in the home garden.
Sowing: Their depth should be 1/2 inch (12.5 mm) from the surface and they should be 1 inch (25 mm) apart from each other. When germination starts, you can increase their distance to 2 inches (5 centimetres), which will give them more space. The distance between radish rows should be 1 foot (30 cm). When the radish grows up to 1 inch, then do pruning.
If you are sowing a big radish, you can sow the seeds at a depth of 1 1/2 inches. You can sow some more plants along with radish because it has properties to keep the insects away and the other plants can grow faster with it. Grow them with carrots, beetroot, and cabbage.
Water the radish while growing and keep its surface wet and keep fertilising periodically.
If you do not water for a few days and then completely immerse them with water then there can be crevices between them.
Harvesting: When the roots of roots are 1 inch (2.5 centimetres) in width then they can be removed, you can pull them out by hand.
